About this task
In hilly Bandarban, many villages are far from a hospital over hard paths, so someone nearby who knows first aid matters. A trained instructor from the Red Crescent, the fire service or a hospital teaches twenty to thirty people in a day: stopping bleeding, cool water on burns, keeping a broken limb still, the recovery position, and whom to call when. Participants practise in pairs.
Why it matters
In the first minutes after an accident, a life often rests with whoever is near: a shopkeeper, a driver, a teacher. Most do not know what to do, and the wrong help makes it worse.
What changes after
At least twenty people trained; first aid boxes in shops and schools; a plan to repeat it yearly.
Who can join
Anyone can organise; participants over 16.
