Reading ten of this site’s task or guide texts with care: fixing spelling and punctuation, breaking long sentences, putting everyday words for hard ones. Every change before and after in one file, with the reason, so staff can check and apply it.
Why it matters
People do not finish hard writing, and one misspelling lowers trust in the whole text. Plain writing brings more people to the work.

Getting ready, step by step
Day one
Choose ten texts and put their links on the task page.
Day two
Read each text; a before-after-why list.
Day three
Read the list once to be sure no fact changed.
Hand in the file.
