About this task

Reading ten of this site’s task or guide texts with care: fixing spelling and punctuation, breaking long sentences, putting everyday words for hard ones. Every change before and after in one file, with the reason, so staff can check and apply it.

Why it matters

People do not finish hard writing, and one misspelling lowers trust in the whole text. Plain writing brings more people to the work.

What changes after

A before-and-after list for ten texts, from which staff apply the changes on the site.

Who can join

Anyone who writes Bangla well; a teacher or journalist even better.

List outline

Note with the hand-in

I read [count] texts, [count] changes in all. Facts that looked wrong but I did not change: [list and source].

After it is done

  • Learn which changes staff did not take, and why, for next time.

Questions people ask

Can I do this from outside the country?

Yes. All of it is done on a phone or a computer; internet is enough. Hand it in on the task page.

What if a fact looks wrong?

Do not change it yourself; note it separately in the list, with why and the source you saw. Staff will check.
