No antibiotics without a doctor’s prescription
Antibiotics do not cure viral colds and fevers. Take them only on a registered doctor’s advice, finish the full course, and never pass leftovers on.
13 October 2026

Antibiotics work against bacteria; the common cold and many fevers are caused by viruses, which antibiotics do nothing for. Taken without need, or stopped halfway, they let bacteria slowly learn to survive the drug. Then, on the day it is needed, the medicine no longer works, and treatment becomes harder and costlier.
Three rules. Antibiotics only on a registered doctor’s prescription, never by asking at the shop yourself. Take the full course for as long as the doctor said, without stopping halfway because you feel better. Never keep leftovers to take later yourself, or give them to anyone else.
If unsure what to take, ask a doctor by phone: Shasthya Batayon 16263.
