Save 999 and 1090 in your phone
999 is the national emergency service: police, fire, ambulance. 1090 gives disaster early warnings. Both are free. Save them in your phone and your family’s today.

In a moment of danger people cannot recall numbers. So the numbers must already be in the phone, and written on a wall or by the door where children and older people can see them too.
999 is the national emergency service: police, fire service and ambulance for a fire, an accident, a crime or a life at risk, day and night, free from any phone. 1090 gives disaster early warnings: cyclone signals and weather alerts in a recorded voice, free.
Do three things today: save both numbers in your phone; save them in the phones of the older people in your family; write them large on paper and put it on the wall at home. Never call 999 for fun or without need; it ties up the line for someone in real danger.
