The road outside a school is most dangerous when classes begin and end: children run across, vehicles do not slow down. The idea: a few parents or retired people take turns, in bright jackets, for that half hour, crossing children in groups when the road is clear. Stopping traffic is the traffic police’s job; start by telling the school and the nearest traffic police.
