Clothes children have outgrown, finished books, toys, pots and pans: many homes have these lying about, while the house next door may need them.
The idea: once every two or three months, an afternoon in a school ground, a club room or on a mosque veranda. Anyone brings clean, usable things, and whoever needs something takes it. No buying or selling, no money. Whatever is left at the end goes to a recognised charity.
Two volunteers lay things out, and one makes sure nothing broken or dirty comes in.
