A challenge for young people to solve one neighbourhood problem
Abir · 13 October 2026
Many neighbourhood problems stay for years: mud in the monsoon, rubbish heaps, dark lanes. Young people often have simple, cheap solutions in mind, but nobody asks them.
The idea: once a year, pick one problem in the neighbourhood and invite teams of school and college students: a plan to solve it, a costing and a small model. Local teachers and experienced people judge.
Then the whole neighbourhood carries out the best plan together. The prize can be a certificate and everyone’s thanks.
