New to a neighbourhood, people do not know where the nearest clinic, pharmacy, school or market is, who collects the rubbish, or whom to call in trouble. For a long time they may not get to know anyone.
The idea: a one-page sheet from the neighbourhood: the nearest community clinic or hospital, pharmacy, school, mosque, market, how rubbish is collected, and the emergency numbers 999, Fire Service 16163 and a doctor by phone 16263. When someone moves in, two people visit, hand it over and say hello.
Put nobody’s personal phone number on the sheet unless that person agrees.
