A start-of-month family spending sit-down

Many households run out of money at month end, yet no one knows well where it went. Women run the household, but their voice is heard less when decisions are made. In the first week of every month, husband, wife and grown children write income and essential costs in a notebook. Divide it item by item, rice, medicine, school, travel. Set aside some portion for savings, however small. A few neighbourhood women can exchange methods with the next house. You need a notebook, everyone's time and a willingness to listen.
