A monthly plain-language meeting on legal rights
সাবরিনা ইসলাম Desher Kaj team · 15 October 2026
In Dhaka's slums and rented houses many do not know what to do about rent agreements or wage rights. Legal language is hard, so they stay silent from fear.
Hold a meeting one evening a month in a community room. A lawyer or law student explains one topic in simple words, such as why a written rent agreement matters. End with questions. For complicated cases advise going to the local legal aid office.
You need a room, seating, a helpful speaker and a notebook to record questions.
