A list of who to turn to for women facing violence at home

On the chars of Jamalpur many women suffer violence at home and do not know where to go. Shame and fear keep them silent. A few trusted women can make a small card listing 999, 109 and going to the woman member of the union parishad. Place the cards quietly in girls' schools, the health centre and the back of household walls. Listen without blaming anyone who comes. You need three or four trusted women, small paper cards and a well-known rule of confidentiality.
