Fruit trees on pond banks for extra family income

In Rajshahi pond banks often lie empty and the soil slips, though trees can be planted there easily. A few families can bring saplings from a local nursery and plant fruit trees in rows along the bank. Water them by rota and fence against goats. Fruit will come within a few years. You need saplings, bamboo fencing, spades and the families' agreement.
