Raising tube wells and latrines to stay safe in floods

When floods reach the chars, tube wells go under and latrine waste mixes with the water. People then must drink it, diarrhoea spreads, and children and elders suffer most. A few neighbours can raise the base of each tube well with earth and brick so floods do not cover it. See whether latrines can be set up on higher ground. Teach everyone to boil or treat water after a flood before drinking. You need earth, bricks, some labour and everyone's cooperation. Finish the work before the rains.
