A monthly household-budget circle for migrants' families

In our area many homes have a husband or son abroad. Money arrives, yet by mid-month the hands are empty, because many have never written down their spending. Once a month, in the afternoon, mothers from migrant families sit together. Divide a notebook into three parts: essential costs, savings and extras. Everyone brings their own notebook and looks at another's with suggestions. The group also talks about sending money only through approved official channels. You need an open room or courtyard, a few notebooks and pens, and one local teacher or retired person who is comfortable with accounts.
