Planting palm and date trees along embankments and roadsides

Many roads and embankments in Bogura have no trees, and storms or rain wash the soil away. Lightning is also a risk. Village teenagers and farmers plant palm or date saplings along the embankment at the start of the rains. Fix one guardian for each sapling who looks after it for the first two years. Take permission from the landowner and union council. You need saplings, some fencing, a watering rota and one day's labour.
