A small shared store of animal feed before storms
মো. মিজানুর রশিদ Desher Kaj team · 7 October 2026
On islands and chars, after a storm or tide the boats stop for days and no straw or bran reaches the market. Many families' cattle and goats go hungry and weak.
As soon as a weather signal is heard, a few families can store dry straw, bran and salt together on high ground. Each gives what they can, and a notebook records who gave what. After the disaster everyone shares it out.
You need a high dry room or platform, plastic sheets to cover, and a notebook for accounts. Give the job to someone trusted.
