Setting a little aside early for festivals and school costs

Before festivals or when school admissions come around, many costs arrive at once and many families have to borrow. Repaying the loan makes the next few months tight. Families can agree among themselves to note the heavy-spending months in advance. Then each week or month they put a small amount in a separate tin or in a bank account in their own name. If a few families sit together each month and share how it is going, the habit lasts. It needs a calendar, a tin or an account, and the agreement of everyone in the family. Small but regular is what matters.
