Sharing market vegetable rates with the village by photo
আফসানা হক Desher Kaj team · 30 September 2026
Farmers often do not know today's rates for vegetables in different markets, so they sell at whatever the middleman says.
A young person in the village who can use a smartphone can note the rates from two or three markets on market day, photograph the list and put it on the tea-stall board or share it with everyone. Comparing with last week's rates makes it easier to understand.
It needs a phone, a couple of known people at the markets to tell the rates, and a board. Rates change, so remind everyone to check for themselves too.
