A habit of separate waste baskets at beach-side shops
মো. ইকবাল হোসেন Desher Kaj team · 6 October 2026
With crowds of tourists, plastic and food packets pile up around beach-side shops and waves carry them back to the sea. The beach gets dirty and everyone loses.
Shopkeepers can together keep two baskets in front of each shop, one for plastic and one for other waste. At day's end everyone cleans their own patch and deposits it at the set place. Point customers to the baskets and ask them kindly.
It needs a few baskets, a shared rule and cooperation from the local representative.
