A char-area talk on getting work terms in writing
মো. দেলোয়ার হোসেন Desher Kaj team · 4 October 2026
Many workers take jobs on a spoken word. Later if there is a dispute over wages, hours or how long the work lasts, they have nothing in hand.
At a talk with char and riverbank workers, share simple points. When taking a job, it is good to write on a slip of paper what the work is, the wage, when it will be paid and how long it lasts, and for both to sign. Those who cannot write can ask a trusted person to write it.
It needs a place to sit, paper and pen and a helper. If problems arise, the union parishad can be approached.
