Study buddy pairs for village pupils after school

Many village pupils go to school but come home to nobody who can help with study. Parents are busy or never had schooling themselves. When they get stuck on something hard, they quietly drop out. Pair an older pupil with a younger one. Three afternoons a week they study together for half an hour, the older child showing the younger one. Teachers set the pairs and check in with everyone once a month. It costs nothing. You need one keen teacher, a place to sit and the pupils' interest. Begin with a few pairs.
