A raised stove and dry food kit before the flood

When water enters the river char, the cooking spot goes under. For days many families cannot cook and children go hungry. Before the rains, each family can build a raised platform or tin stove. Alongside, keep flattened rice, jaggery, rice and lentils and a covered water pot in a dry box. Check dates now and then and replace stock. You need bamboo or bricks, tin, a lidded box and a little time. For those who cannot afford it, neighbours can help together.
